Selena Gomez brought high-fashion glamour and a powerful message to the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on October 14. The 34-year-old star used the star-studded evening to celebrate a massive philanthropic milestone, stunning attendees in a custom Prada look while opening up about her mental health advocacy and her first year of marriage to music producer Benny Blanco.
The Fashion: Sculptural Red Prada
Gomez commanded the pink carpet in a striking, embellished red Prada gown. The dress featured a unique sculptural waistline designed to mimic the shape of rose petals. She completed the monochromatic look with matching red satin pumps, sleek straight hair, and minimalist silver jewelry, ensuring the bold dress remained the focal point of the evening.
A $30 Million Milestone for Youth Mental Health
While the fashion made headlines, the core of the event was the continued success of the Rare Impact Fund. Launched alongside her cosmetics company Rare Beauty in 2020, the fund operates with a massive initial pledge: raising $100 million over 10 years to expand mental health resources for youth.
Six years into the initiative, the fund has officially raised over $30 million. It currently supports mental health organizations across five continents, reaching an estimated 3.5 million young people annually.
"Going to a center for young people to even just go and be around other people and feel support, we’re able to see what we are doing from the ground up, and we’re doing it globally," Gomez shared at the event. "It’s the most incredibly proud thing that I could ever just claim."
Support from Benny Blanco
Gomez also credited her personal support system for helping her navigate her own mental health journey. She highlighted her husband, Benny Blanco, whom she married in September 2025.
The couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 27. Blanco marked the occasion by sharing a photo of their preserved wedding cake on social media with the caption, “1 year down… forever to go…” while Gomez posted a tribute featuring the two embracing in their wedding attire.
"I guess it’s why I married Benny, but I truly feel fortunate that I have the best people in my life to be able to call and talk to, or just let them listen to whatever I’m thinking," Gomez said regarding her support network.
She ended the night with a direct message to any young people struggling with emotional distress or feeling isolated: "You’re enough. Don’t think that you’re not worthy of the help. It can feel lonely, but definitely believe that you can do it."
